Cloudlynx with representation at the Red Hat Forum

The Swiss Cloud-specialist Cloudlynx will be on the spot at the Zürich Red Hat Forum 2014 as a bronze sponsor. Chris Bingham, head of the Cloudlynx engineering team will give a lecture in the afternoon concerning Clouds which are based on Open Stack.

On the 11th of June 2014 the third Red Hat forum will take place in Zürich. It is one of 15 event activities, which Red Hat will carry out under the title „we are coming to you“, these will take place in June across the whole EMEA (Europe, Middle-East, Africa): the journey will begin on the 3rd of June 2014 in Dubai, afterwards it will journey across Paris and Stockholm to Moscow with a stop in Zürich. From there it will go on further to Madrid, Istanbul over Prague to the Belgian port city of Antwerp. After Johannesburg and Milan, the final stop will be Münich on the 25 th of June. During the entire forum the sponsors are expecting around 8000 members of the public to attend. The sponsoring is broken down into 4 different alloys; Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze.

Cloudlynx AG will be represented in Zürich as a Bronze-Sponsor. Directly following the afternoon break Chris Bingham (Linux, OpenStack and Cloud Architect) from Cloudlynx will together with Stefan Schmidt (Red Hat Switzerland) lecture in a half hour presentation between 15.15 and 15.45 concerning “Private & hybrid clouds based on Open Stack in a real environment”. The speaker from Cloudlynx has experience in the area of industrial high performance computing. Chris Bingham was involved in the Swiss academic compute cloud project and participated in the development of the Open Stack proof of concept system for the FMI in Basel and the ETH Zürich. He is the head of the engineering team which is responsible for the development and expansion of the public IaaS Cloud Service Cloudlynx for which the Datalynx Group is responsible.
